About us

An agency named for the reason we do this.

People 1st Inc. is a licensed insurance agency. We work across life, health, income protection, and retirement products — the coverage people only think about until something goes wrong, and always wish they had thought about sooner.

The insurance industry has a reputation problem, and mostly it has earned it. Products are complicated, commissions can bend advice, and too many people meet a policy for the first time when they're trying to use it. We decided to build a firm around the one variable that actually changes that: the representative sitting across the table.

That's why this site is a recruiting page rather than a quote form. We'd rather grow slowly with reps who put the person ahead of the policy than scale fast with people who don't. Everything we do — sponsored licensing, a structured onboarding program, a mentor for every new rep, weekly coaching — exists to make that kind of advisor out of someone with the right instincts.

How we work

01

We listen before we recommend

A recommendation without context is a sales pitch. Every conversation starts with what the person actually needs protected.

02

We explain, we don't pressure

Insurance is dense. Our reps are trained to say it plainly, including the parts that don't favour the sale.

03

We stay after the signature

Policies outlast the person who sold them. Servicing a client for a decade is the job, not the follow-up to it.

Who we hire

We hire for character and train for the craft.

Career-changers who are good with people. Licensed agents who are tired of being a number on someone else's board. Nurses, teachers, coaches, and small-business owners — people used to explaining difficult things to someone who is having a hard week.

You don't need an insurance background. You do need to be reliable, coachable, and honest enough to talk someone out of a policy they shouldn't buy.
